Antigua Guatemala

Next stop for me was Antigua Guatemala, the original capital of Guatemala until they got sick of all the earthquakes knocking it over every few decades. It's a very beautiful city, littered with ruins of majestic old ruins of buildings that the government doesn't have enough funds to do preservation works to, so most of them are fenced off without so much as a plaque to say what it was.

Honduras Mainland - Lago Yejoa, Copan
February 26th 2015, 6:12:00 pm

After a cram packed week up in the USA, I felt like I really needed a bit of a rest, so once I got back down to Honduras I headed directly down to Lago Yejoa, the home of the D&D Brewery.

FireDrums 2014 and San Francisco
January 3rd 2015, 5:22:00 pm

Way back in January at Poi Love Camp I'd asked Jonathan Alvarez what he thought the best flow festival was during them summer in the USA, and he told me he thought FireDrums was number one, so I put it in my calendar and mostly forgot about it. Much later I realised it was only a few weeks away, and decided to impulse buy a ticket, sort out some flights and get my self along to see it for myself.

The Bay Islands of Honduras
December 16th 2014, 9:02:00 pm

After making a one night stay in San Pedro Sula, home of the worlds worst murder rate, I headed over to the coast and got a ferry to Utila; one of the Bay Islands of Honduras.

Little Corn Island, Leon, And A Visa Run
November 17th 2014, 8:42:00 pm

After I was done hiding out in Esteli over easter, trying to avoid the masses of locals who apparently usually head to the coasts and cause a ruckus, I booked a flight from Managua to Big Corn Island. This was the most last minute flight I've booked thus far, less than 24 hours before the time of the flight, although it made no difference at all to the cost. Hooray for fixed price flights!
